What a fantastic album. This is rapidly approaching the same status for me as the masterpiece that is Meta. One of the best artists making music right now in my opinion.

I had to listen to this album a lot more than once to understand its expressive language: ferocious, hard and uncompromising - unlike previous two pieces, which were uberheavy too yet not so aggressive. So this page in Tamas' legacy takes you to the journey through some very cold, austere yet beautiful places, bringing your spirit closer to enlightenment.

Thy Catafalque never runs out of creativity. Most of these tracks contain enough good ideas to fill entire albums. Tamas has a fantastic sense of melody, and of powerful dynamic shifts. Highly recommended for fans of progressive extreme metal.
